Summary Report of Guest lecture The Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized a guest lecture on “Discrete Mathematics” on 04th Aug, 2022 (Thursday) for 2nd year B.Tech CSE, both section A and section B. KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology encourages Guest Lectures in respective fields to provide knowledge on key concepts. Dr. GANESH DAVANAM, Associate Professor from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, Tirupati, was invited as the resource person. The session commenced with Dr. L. Venkateswara Reddy, HoD, CSE, addressing the participants and introducing the guest.
The speaker discussed Discrete probability and advanced counting techniques related to “Discrete Mathematics”. During the session, the resource person explored various aspects, including a focus on Discrete probability, probability Theory, Bayes’ Theorem, Expected Value, and variance. Furthermore, he emphasized Recurrence Relations, Solving Linear Recurrence Relations, Divide-and-Conquer Algorithms and Recurrence Relations, Generating Functions, Inclusion-Exclusion, and Applications of inclusion-Exclusion.
