Department of Civil Engineering has organized another guest lecture on the topic “Influence of different geological structure on Civil Engineering” on 07th December 2022 for our Second-year students in online mode. The Speaker Dr. Bhumika Das, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering from LCIT, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh had been invited to deliver the lecture. She explained about rock deformations, development of Folds, Faults, Joints and unconformities. She explained in detail on classification of Folds, Faults, Strike, Dip along with formation of several kinds of Unconformities such as Disconformities, Angular Conformities and Non-Conformities. Students interacted with the speaker and cleared their doubts. The lecture delivered by mam resulted in student gaining in depth knowledge about different geological structures.
