We are thrilled to announce that Team RedRock from KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology has secured Rs. 50,000 in funding for their groundbreaking project in the Ideas to Impact Challenge (i2I) 2024-25. Their innovative research focuses on developing a sustainable, carbon-negative building material, which aligns with global sustainability goals and contributes to environmentally friendly construction solutions.
The team, led by Chakali Government (4th Year, Civil Engineering) and supported by team members Kurimilla Vivek (4th Year), Mohammed Khadar Baba (3rd Year), and Bhukya Dhanalaxmi (3rd Year), is working towards optimizing and implementing their "RedRock" material. Their project has been guided by Dr. V. Srinivasa Reddy, Professor of Civil Engineering, who provided strategic and technical mentorship.
With application number i2I2024M0085, the team’s success in the competition highlights the innovation and research excellence fostered at KGRCET. This funding will support the next phase of their research and development, bringing them closer to real-world applications of their sustainable building material.
