We are pleased to share that 40 students of 3rd Year Civil Engineering, through the IGBC Student Chapter and Green Construction Club, have successfully completed their industrial visit to CII – Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Hyderabad on 29th April 2025.
The visit, coordinated by Mr. K. Saikumar Chary and Mr. G. Anvesh, provided students with valuable exposure to sustainable building practices, green rating systems, and innovative technologies in construction.
2. Student-Parent Meeting on Attendance and Counselling – Civil Engineering Department
The Department of Civil Engineering organized a Student-Parent Meeting to address the issue of attendance shortage among students. The meeting was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Soumya Sucharita Singha, Associate Professor and Head of the Department, and was attended by concerned students along with their parents.
During the session, Dr. Soumya Sucharita Singha emphasized the importance of regular attendance, academic discipline, and consistent engagement in academic activities. Detailed insights into each student’s attendance and performance were shared, and the underlying causes for absenteeism were discussed constructively.
The department also arranged counseling support for students, focusing on improving time management, motivation, and goal orientation. Parents were encouraged to play an active role in their ward’s academic progress and personal development.
This proactive initiative underscores the department’s commitment to nurturing responsible, well-rounded students through continuous support and collaboration with parents.
