1.Faculty Members Completed AICTE FDP on Sustainable Additive Manufacturing
Mr.S.Sathish ,Mr.K.Anil and Mr. Bhonagiri Ramesh, Assistant Professor at KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, Moinabad, Hyderabad, successfully completed a Faculty Development Program (FDP) organized by the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. The program, titled "Sustainable Additive Manufacturing in Medical Applications: UN SDG Perspectives", was hosted by Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology from June 15 to June 20, 2025.

2.Inauguration of SAEINDIA Collegiate Club at KG Reddy College
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology hosted the inaugural ceremony of the SAEINDIA Collegiate Club on June 19, 2025. The event took place at the Seminar Hall, KGR College, beginning at 11:30 AM. Mr. Ramesha BS, Head – Academic Initiatives at Altair India inaugurated the Club along with Dr.Rohit kandakatla,Dr.M.N.Narsaiah ,Dr.L.Jayahari and Head of the event Mrs.K.Kalpan .
This newly established club, affiliated with SAEINDIA (Society of Automotive Engineers India), aims to promote innovation, technical excellence, and industry-relevant skills among engineering students. The initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening automotive and mechanical engineering engagement

3. The Faculty Members of Mechanical Department have Attend Workshop on Outcome-Based Education at KG Reddy College
On June 21, 2025, the Centre for Engineering Education Development (CEED), in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a one-day workshop on “Engineering Program Outcomes in Focus: Writing Competencies and Performance Indicators for Outcome-Based Education (OBE)” at KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Vijayalakshmi M., Professor at KLE Technological University, served as the resource person for the workshop, which focused on enhancing faculty skills in designing and evaluating program outcomes.
Mrs.K. Kalpana, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Faculty members have actively participated in the session, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to continuous improvement in academic quality and educational practices.

4.A Seminar on “Power of Optimization for Smart Product Development” at KGRCET organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering inassociation with SAE-collegiate club KGRCET

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology organized an insightful seminar on "Power of Optimization for Smart Product Development" on 19th June 2025. The session, held in the Seminar Hall, was conducted in collaboration with SAEINDIA.
The keynote speaker for the event was Mr. Ramesha BS, Head – Academic Initiatives at Altair India. With his vast industry experience, Mr. Ramesha enlightened students and faculty on the role of optimization in engineering design and how it leads to smarter, more efficient product development.
The seminar emphasized the importance of modern simulation tools, design thinking, and innovation in today's competitive engineering landscape. It was an engaging and enriching experience for all attendees, bridging the gap between academic learning and industrial application.
The Head of the department Mrs.K.Kalpana extends its gratitude to Mr. Ramesha and SAEINDIA for making this seminar a great success.
5. Mechanical Department Holds PRC Meeting on SDG-Linked Projects
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology conducted a Project Review Committee (PRC) meeting on June 28, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The agenda included PRC team work allocation, reviewing the status of student project problem statements, and exploring their alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The meeting, chaired by the PRC Chairperson-Mrs K.Kalpana and coordinated by the Dr.D.Baloji PRC coordinator , aimed to streamline project evaluation and strengthen the relevance of academic work to global challenges. All faculty members and project guides actively participated in the session.
6.The faculty members from Mechanical department attended the Workshop on Publishing in High Impact Journals Held at KG Reddy College
The Centre for Research Innovation and Development (CRID) at KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology organized a workshop on "Writing and Publishing Research Articles in High Impact Journals" on June 17, 2025.
The session was conducted by Prof. Kunal Gaurav from the School of Business, MIT World Peace University, Pune. Held from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM in the Seminar Hall, the event was attended by Deans, HoDs, and faculty members, particularly Ph.D. pursuing scholars.
The initiative aimed to enhance research writing skills and improve publication success in reputed journals.
