1. Mr. S. Sathish, Asst .Prof. has completed One week Faculty Development Program on “Next Generation Renewable energy Technologies: Transformative approaches for Sustainable Development”. held at SKIT Jaipur (Online Mode)  from  6th may to 10th may 2025.

2. KGRCET SAE Club Participates in Ground Zero Workshop by BAJA SAEINDIA at BVRIT

On 10th May 2025 – The SAE Club of KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology (KGRCET) marked an important milestone as its faculty advisors and student members actively participated in the Ground Zero Program Workshop organized by BVRIT Narsapur, in collaboration with BAJA SAEINDIA.

This one-day workshop, part of the BAJA SAEINDIA Elevate Program, was specially curated to prepare students for the BAJA SAEINDIA 2026 competitions. The event offered an in-depth orientation on key aspects of vehicle design, team structuring, project budgeting, and rulebook interpretation – all critical for the success of any BAJA team.

3. KG Reddy College Secures AICTE-ATAL FDP Grant Worth ₹3.5 Lakhs .KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology (KGRCET), an autonomous institution known for academic innovation and excellence, proudly announces the approval of a 6-Day Offline Faculty Development Program (FDP) under the prestigious AICTE Training and Learning Academy (ATAL) scheme for the academic year 2025–26. . The FDP will be coordinated by Dr. D. Baloji, Associate Professor, and Mrs. K. Kalpana, HOD and Assistant Professor, both from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has sanctioned a grant of ₹3,50,000 to conduct this offline training program, which aims to enhance the teaching capabilities, research skills, and subject matter expertise of faculty members across technical institutions.

4. On 10th May 2025 – The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with Career Guidance Cell of KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology (KGRCET) organized an engaging Alumni Connect Session titled "Industry Expectations and Skills Set Requirement", featuring Mr. Damodar Vakamulla, a distinguished alumnus currently working as a Business Analyst at Loyalty Juggernaut Inc.

The session was held online via YouTube Live at 11:00 AM, allowing students from 2nd  and 3rd  Year Mechanical engineering to participate and benefit from the valuable insights shared.

In his address, Mr. Damodar provided a practical overview of current industry trends, expectations from fresh graduates, and the evolving skill sets required to succeed in today’s competitive job market. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning, soft skills, adaptability, and domain-specific technical expertise.

The session also offered guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and strategies for aligning academic pursuits with career goals. Students interacted enthusiastically, posing questions and gaining clarity on real-world challenges faced in the corporate environment.

5. Mr .Bharath Naik ,M.Ravi kumar and R.Dinesh Kumar  Completes Internship at Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL), Hyderabad .

The  student of Mechanical Engineering at  KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, has successfully completed a project internship at the DLRL Hyderabad, a premier unit under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

The internship, held from 5th May to 30th May 2025, focused on the project titled “CNC Machining.” During this period, The above students engaged in practical applications and technical learning, contributing to a key research area under the guidance of experienced scientists at DLRL.

The certificate of completion acknowledges that his work met the requirements and expectations of the laboratory and that he satisfactorily fulfilled the assigned tasks. The project serves as a part of the partial fulfillment of his B.Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

6. On 12th May 2025, The Department of Mechanical Engineering at KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology (KGRCET) successfully organized an insightful guest lecture on the topic "Introduction to Governing Equations of Fluid in CFD". The session took place in Room F-201 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

The guest speaker for the event was Mr. Manish Vyas, COCO L2 – Manager at UPGRAD Education Pvt. Ltd., who brought with him valuable industry knowledge and experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). His talk focused on the core governing equations of fluid flow and their application in CFD simulations, a vital area for aspiring mechanical engineers and researchers in fluid mechanics.

The session aimed at bridging the gap between academic theory and industrial applications, giving students a solid foundation in the mathematical and physical principles behind CFD tools.

The lecture was coordinated by Ms. Gangavarapu Tanya Psalms, Assistant Professor, who ensured smooth execution of the event and encouraged student interaction throughout the session

7. Dr. Udaya Sri Kakarla Participates in National Webinar on Intellectual Property Rights & Commercialization.Dr. Udaya Sri Kakarla has been officially recognized for participating in a national-level webinar on "Intellectual Property Rights & Commercialization", conducted by the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) - Ministry of MSME, Government of India on 30th April 2025 .
