Department of Civil Engineering has organized a guest lecture on the topic “Critical Concepts and Overview on Ground Improvement Techniques- case studies” on 23rd November 2022 to our final year students of the Department of Civil Engineering, KGRCET. The eminent expert Dr. Chandra Bogi Reddy, Principal Geotechnical Engineer, YNR Associates Architects & Engineers, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh had been invited to deliver the lecture. He explained the students about ground improvement techniques and its application. He gave a detail explanation on geo synthetics and its types which are used for ground improvement that is used to stabilize terrain. Furthermore, hydraulic modification techniques on prefabricated vertical drains and also ground improvement techniques like mechanical, physical, chemical, hydraulic modification at different soil conditions including for gravel, sand, silt, & clay was demonstrated clearly through h his Expert talk.
