The guest lecture on “PID to State Space: Designing Efficient Feedback Control Systems” provided III B.Tech ECE students with a comprehensive overview of control system fundamentals, covering system modeling, block diagram reduction, and feedback principles. It emphasized time-domain and frequency-domain analyses using tools such as Routh–Hurwitz, Bode, Nyquist, and Root Locus plots to evaluate stability and performance. The session also explained PID controllers and lead–lag compensators, linking theoretical concepts to real-world engineering applications. Overall, the lecture enhanced students’ conceptual clarity, practical understanding, and interest in control engineering.
