In runup to the World Environment Day on 5th June, 2023, as a part of AICTE initiative, Department of Civil Engineering in Association with National Service Scheme and Green Construction Club had organised events from 31-05-2023 to 05- 06-2023. The whole program was coordinated by Mrs GMounika and Mr M Rathna Chary, Assistant Professor, Civil Department, KGRCET with the support and guidance from Dr. Soumya S. Singha, HOD, Civil and Dr. Y. Vijayalata, Principal, KGRCET. Different activities had been conducted for 5 days. Around, 50 students participated in the event. The purpose of taking these activities was to create awareness and inculcating sustainable consumption behaviour. World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June with a theme. The theme of World Environment Day 2023 was “Solutions to Plastic Pollution”
