Department of Civil Engineering had conducted a one-day orientation program for IInd year students. The main objective of this program was to give them a glimpse of the various activities (academics, co- curricular and holistic student development) carried out by the department. All the students assembled in the T-414 Classroom. The program was hosted by Mr. Rathna Chary, Assistant Professor followed by a speech by Dr. Soumya Singha HOD, Civil where she briefed about the highlights of our department to the students and mentioned Vision and Mission of the Department. Insequence, all faculties interacted with the students and they briefed about their profiles. Then,students were taken to the different labs and the faculty coordinator Mrs. Mounika Naidu and Mr. Jagadish Harannati, Assistant Professor, briefed about the importance of all labs in Civil engineering fields. After the lab visit followed by lunch, a civil engineering related activity was conducted by Miss Himabindu Mam where students actively participated, next in sequence, session on job opportunities was delivered by Mr. M Vijay Kumar and lastly the program ends with the vote of thanks given by Mrs, Mounika Naidu, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering.
