Department of Civil Engineering in Association with Green Construction Club organised“Seminar on Building Information Modelling using REVIT” on 28-02-2023 for IIIrd and IVth year Civil Engineering Students of KGRCET. Session was presented by Er. MD Mukaram, BIM Engineer, Architude BIM Services, Hyderabad. Through session, MrMukaram delivered content of BIM and many advantages of using this software which plays a key role in today’s construction field. He mentioned that BIM software such as Revit is now used by 73 percent of respondents. Infact, Revitsoftwareisusedby50%ofthose surveyed (whether they are architects, MEP engineers, or structural engineers) for their daily 3D modelling operations. Revit modelling offers various advantages, and it is one of the most used tools for producing and managing building models. Earlier engineers invested most of their time in conceptualizing and drafting. The introduction of Computer-Aided Design was a groundbreaking moment and since became the standard tool for architects and engineers. Engineering software has evolved and changed tremendously in the last two decades as computing potential has risen. One of the most recent programs is Revit. These important details were shared to students through this seminar.
