Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad had conducted “Project Expo” on 2nd April 2023. Students of final year from Civil Engineering Department, had participated in the Project expo. Two teams prepared Sustainable Canteen Model and Fantasized Colony Outline Model and presented in that expo.
Sustainability is meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable canteen is a concept of building a canteen using sustainable materials. It consists of Bio-gas, Solar panels, Agroforestry, Solid waste management, Plastic bricks. Fantasized Colony Outline is a model in which students presented solutions for major problems like carbon emission from construction sector, excess usage of plastic, groundwater depletion. Students have presented natural solutions to the problems mentioned through their model such as construction of green building, plastic roads, water harvesting pits, solar panels, and kinetic footpaths.
