The Department of ECE in association with IoT club organized a three-day hands-on workshop titled “IoT Skill-a-Thon”, for III and IV ECE students, aimed at enhancing students’ practical knowledge and skills in the Internet of Things (IoT).
During the workshop, participants explored the fundamentals of Raspberry Pi, Python programming, and the working principles of various sensors and actuators. Students gained practical exposure by interfacing sensors and actuators with Raspberry Pi to identify and monitor different environmental parameters from their surroundings. They also developed mini IoT-based applications, integrating the acquired knowledge into real-time use cases.
On the third day, students showcased their projects through presentations and demonstrations, highlighting their learning outcomes and innovative approaches. A total of 11 teams participated, out of which two teams were recognized as Best Performers for their outstanding creativity and technical execution.
